Brief information: Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC)  has published a notification to take an online application from bonafide citizens of India for the
post of Personal Assistant. Those candidates who are interested in the following details of the vacancy and have all the following criteria can read the notification carefully and apply online.

Application fee:

(a) Group-C Posts: - Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred fifty) only for General Candidates and Rs.100/-(Rupees one hundred) only for ST/SC/ BPL card holders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.
 (b) SC / ST Candidates of other States (not recognized by the Govt. Of Tripura) must deposit fee as General Candidates. The recruitment fee so deposited is non-refundable.

Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 41 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules

Educational Qualification:

Secondary (H.S. + 2) or equivalent Examination from a recognized Board / University with minimum 35% marks in average or He / She shall have passed Madhyamik examination with Stenography Course from any ITI with 35% marks in Madhyamik Examination
(b)Candidates must have the Knowledge of Operating a Computer and a certificate of any Government or Institution or University recognized by the Government or registered by the Government with a minimum duration of 3 (three) months.
(c) Typing in English on transcription with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute and 100 words per minute respectively.


Pay Scale: Rs. 5700- 24,000/- 

Selection Process:- 
(a) As per service rule the Recruitment process will comprise of three successive stages such as
(i) Preliminary Examination of 100 marks (multiple Choice Type Test),
(ii) Type Writing test (Using Computer) of 100 marks & Shorthand Writing & Transcription (using the computer) of 200 
marks and
(iii) Main Examination of 250 marks (Conventional Type Test).

Exam Pattern:
Written examination: Full marks-200 
Personality test: Full marks-20 
Subjects to be covered by written examination and full marks and duration of each the paper of the written examination shall be as follows:- 

Syllabus for the Preliminary Examination: -
Part I English
Total Marks: 50
Syllabus
Use of appropriate Preposition and Article,
Synonyms and Antonyms, Use of the common phrase
and Idioms Comprehension, Ordering of words in
a Sentence, Sporting of Errors, etc.

Part (II) General Studies
Total Marks: 50
Syllabus
General Knowledge with special reference to
Tripura & North Eastern Region, Current Affairs of
Local, National and International Importance,
Simple Arithmetic, Mental Ability, etc.

Syllabus for the Main Examination: -

Paper I -English
Total Marks: 100
Time: 3 Hours

Paper II –Bengali or Alternative English
Total Marks: 50
Time: 2 Hours

Paper III -GK & Current Affairs
Total Marks: 100
Time: 3 Hours
